The Great Gatsby
In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since.

You don't know about me, without you have read a book by the name of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," but that ain't no matter. You don't know about me without you have read a book by the name of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer; but that ain't no matter.

A Prayer for Owen Meany
I am doomed to remember a boy with a wrecked voice - not because of his voice, or because he was the smallest person I ever knew, or even because he was the instrument of my mother's death, but because he is the reason I believe in God;- I am a Christian because of Owen Meany.

Anne of Green Gables
Mrs. Rachel Lynde lived just where the Avonlea main road dipped down into a little hollow, fringed with alders and ladies' eardrops and traversed by a brook that had its source away back in the woods of the old Cuthbert place; it was reputed to be an intricate, headlong brook in its earlier course through those woods, with dark secrets of pool and cascade; but by the time it reached Lynde's Hollow it was a quiet well-conducted little stream, for not even a brook could run past Mrs. Rachel Lynde's door without due regard for decency and decorum; it probably was conscious that Mrs. Rachel was sitting at her window, keeping a sharp eye on everything that passed, from brooks and children up, and that if she noticed anything odd or out of place she would never rest until she had ferreted out the whys and wherefores thereof.

The Catcher in the Rye
"If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want the truth."

The Diary of a Young Girl
On Friday, 12th June, I woke up at six o' clock and no wonder; it was my birthday

A truly magical, beautiful, and brave story, this story captured my heart from the begging to the very last page this is my favorite book of all time. John Irving casted a love spell when he wrote this book, it is a heart warming story about a boy who believes in his destiny and works hard to make sure he achieves it. I believe everyone should read this story because it is so spectacular. At the end of the book I was in tears, I felt attached to this beautiful character as though he were a part of my family, this is how amazing this story truly is, it is a book that will stay with you forever.

This is one of the greatest books I have ever read, Zora Neale Hurston has an amazing way with words. She spins an amazing web of images and is able to capture the readers interest with her spectacular story telling capabilities. This book is a true treasure and I am so glad I have read and own it, a must read for everyone, especially those who love to read.
