DH Lawrence explores the complex inner relationships that love creates and it is not always pretty to observe. If you think that love is a many splendid thing then this book will make you take your rose coloured glasses off.

It's been a while since I've read this book, but it left a very bad taste in my mouth, so much so that I will not read another D. H. Lawrence. The casual immorality embraced all throughout is sickening. The story is somewhat enjoyable, but the overall theme is disturbing.
