The BFG is another great read by Roald Dahl, giving us a peek into his wild imagination and on the way teaching us a few distinct lessons about the human nature. It was a breezy read but I did find the back-to-back instances of made-up and jumbled words slightly annoying. Yet, I enjoyed reading it. And now I know perhaps why they call it the "dreamcatcher." This is a chapter book and a fun story. A little girl gets taken from her room by a giant, fortunately a big friendly giant, and then sees very unusual things in the land of the giants. She and the BFG set out to save the world's children and adults from the people-gobbling giants.

Possibly my favourite Dahl book. It's funny, silly, whimsical and other adjectives that don't quite capture the nostalgia I'm feeling right now!

As always, Dahl finds an extremely imaginative and outlandish way to present positive moral messages. A creative twist on the classic good conquering evil.
